Heck of a busy weekend and week. Labor day was, well, a day of labor. 18 hours. Starting at 8am and ending at 2am the next day. Somehow, by far, was the most fun I’ve had working with my new partners at NewMedia Campaigns. We’re redoing the website and it is still in progress. It’s getting pretty sweet, though.
Flag Football with the guys today. Domination. I would have expected us old, out-of-shape seniors would be dominated in the competitive league. Boy was I wrong. My function was primarily rushing the opposing QB every play. Also got to do some blocking for Joel as he was our QB, running the ball on a reverse play, and a few completions. One of which ended with a successful spin move through 2 guys near the end zone, flags in tact. Really fun game.
This weekend I’m likely going to miss being around for the big VA Tech game. Lame. I know. I’m flying in to Boston on business. Should have time to check out MIT & Harvard. Missing classes on Monday for the meeting and flying back early Tuesday morning. I’m pretty stoked about the growth & direction New Media Campaigns is embracing. We’re bringing on two new employees, one started yesterday, who will be helping with CSS/HTML (our awesome tech guy) bandwidth in the client fulfillment side of the company. Monday starts the new sales guy who should bring throughput on the operations end. Things are definitely looking up.
Tonight was incredible. Spending some quality time with Courtney Harris & Megan Fuchs is always amazing. Quality time with Miss Fuchs and her room mate after dinner was just as incredible. The conversations? Ridiculous. A Margarita pitcher usually means the start of a good night.
More soon on issues I want to discuss: The new Facebook features and why it really doesn’t change anything. Theories on successes in the tech world. Grad school progress. Lots more. With that… good night people… 7 full hours of sleep tonight will be wonderful :)
