Welcome to the official blog of Midsummer Studios. We’re a small software start-up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and are focused on creating interesting tools you can actually use. This blog will be used for discussing what’s on our minds at any given time usually related to the life of a small start-up.
Some of you may know me, I’m Kris Jordan, a quasi-student at UNC Chapel Hill Computer Science. Quasi only because I’m taking this semester off to start Midsummer Studios with money scraps I’ve saved doing web related work. I love software and I’ve always been fascinated by the start-up process - so here I am. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work in a start-up either apply (read below) or stay tuned to this blog because I’ll be keeping track here.
Right now I’m looking for 2 software people and a linux guru. If you’re a UNC CS/IS student looking for a part-time job with flexible hours and decent pay please check out the jobs page. Why work for a no-name start-up? It’s fun. It’s flexible. You’ll be creating a product you and your friends can actually use. Furthermore, you’ll make a tremendous impact on our first application. It would just be you, me, and a few others making a product for the masses. Impossible? With your help, maybe not. So send me an e-mail and let’s talk sometime: kris@midsummerstudios.com.
A full time position and a paid-internship will be opening Summer 2006.
Stick around… this should be exciting =)
