Friday the 13th has never treated me so kindly. The final grade left to be submitted to SIS came in, and I received an A in compilers. That leaves the semester average at 4.0 for the first, and likely only, time. Taking Japanese as Pass/Fail and four Computer Science courses was key. Who knows what effect living in a house with seven other guys will have on the GPA next semester =)
I received a message from an old friend tonight. It’s nice to hear from people you were once really close to, and to hear that they are doing well. Hearing from her reminded me of an old observation. It’s mysterious the way life brings people together in ‘coincidental’ ways. Think of your best friend. Now think of one action, which, had it not occured, you would have never met this person. Likely it’s completely unrelated to you or your friend. Maybe a school’s computer system placed you and your now best friend in the same classroom years back. Or maybe you picked the June 2nd, 2003, C-TOPS orientation session. By changing this single, seemingly inconsequential event you would never have met your best friend. It’s as though time is unrolling a giant ball of tangled cords of life. Somehow my cord is intertwined with yours at this point in time. What it all means? I don’t know. Just an observation. It was great to hear from an old friend.
The travel and research pages are now up for anyone interested. I’m still trying to determine how I should handle the pictures page. Joel is supposed to be working on some photo blogging software while he is abroad, I should collaborate with him on the photo aspect of it.
Tomorrow Kelly will be cutting my hair at the Aveda Salon. Hot stuff. From what I hear she’s balling out on hair. Hopefully I’ll find a backpack as well.
