Today I made a $50.00 investment in four pairs of socks for the Europe trip and beyond. Call me crazy, I would too had I never worn Thorlos socks. Simply put, they are the most amazing things I’ve ever had on my feet.
The first two pair are lightweight, lambs wool level 1 socks. The other pair I decided to try out are the level 2 wool/silk socks. With 5 pairs of these socks I should be able go 10 days without needing to wash socks! So I’ll only do laundry once after I leave Katie’s place in Switzerland.
To complement the socks I finally bought a new pair of L.L. Bean Comfort Mocs. Mom should be happy. Since I returned from Europe last summer she’s been telling me I needed a new pair and that shoes aren’t supposed to have holes in them. Nonsense. But in preparation for the upcoming adventure I’ve given in. Taupe this time and half a size smaller.
My next purchase for the trip is a backpacking backpack. I’m probably going to jaunt to Charlotte or Gastonia in search for this. Suggestions are welcome. Also considering a new camera (Canon Digital Rebel SLR), but most likely not going to happen.
